As more and more visitors come to the VideoBejing, I think it's the future way as travel guide.
I found the most destination guide are too general, and in copy & paste mode, yet the travellers' blogs are loose without focus on guide others. There should be a better way using video, flash and audio as travel guide.
I shall setup another website with in-depth contents talking about forbidden city soon.
I believe local people will do the same thing more effectively than visitors. So each one can exchange or provide the services to visitors with value.
I then take a small start from collect all videos about, for, from and in Beijing as a guide to visitors. Anyone can have visual tour to Beijing before she/he comes.
And yes, I do think video, movie and flash is the best way to have a real touch. With the labelled tags, it's easier to find what you want. OK, have a cup of coffee and go.
Voltage of electric power in China is 220V 50 Hz, no matter what type of an outlet is.
When you travel to China, you will find a variety of electrical outlets in China.
A common type of outlet in newer buildings is shown at right. This outlet can accept the standard Type A and common Type I plugs as well as the not-so-common (for China) Type C plugs. Both the upper and lower outlets can be used simultaneously.
However, in older structures one might find outlets that will accept only Type A (and maybe Type C as well) or only Type I.
On the other hand, one might also find Type G outlets. While at one time their use might have been limited to the southern coast near Hong Kong, today they can be encountered far from there (though HK investment might still play a role in their placement).

You can ask hotel for universal outlet services (free but not too many outlets available at the sametime), or buy one in convenient store.
Here is a list of various plugs:
| Type A | ![]() | Type C | ![]() |
| Type G | ![]() | Type I | ![]() |
From my experience, I find currently, most search engines are doing well when I am clear with the target, and can express into keyword(s) with a noun.
When it comes to verbs or adjectives, all search engines are not doing well. This is caused by the keyword algorithms. We know an action in same word does not occur so frequently in a story.
Another challenge is from people himself. When I can not express my target, for examples, a restaurant near Holiday Inn, a book store on 3F of building XYZ. In these situation, I know a relationship, and a indirect keyword.
The next generation search engine, or some addon's need to fulfill these needs, to make a more exciting searching experiences.
Today, I had the first team meeting after left IBM. So I called it kickoff meeting of Yonkr project in 2006.
We have got expecting outcomes. We walked through the business process, define the working document format and assigned tasks to owners.
Most important, from team members' questions and suggestions, I know, we all fully participated.
I should say, in the near future, there will be a more friendly website to help foreigners travelling to China.
Today, I met a web friend who is from ShenZhen. He is a very passionate tour guide, who hates the bad shopping experience, from travel operator and guest perspectives.
One of his book with rich China travel marketing insight will be published in the next week.
Here is the book cover.

It maybe the most dangerous hotel in the world. When u checkout with your luggage, it's likely the best target for robbery. Why? cos the logo of this hotel is the largest bank in China -- ICBC.
It is surely an exciting event. You will find the famous players, Google, MSN, Yahoo (China), Ask, etc etc. All the foreign visiters are eager to know China search market, and enjoy a great time in Nanjing.
